An apartment on Vankovicha Street is an interesting and at the same time complex project. The main feature of this space was that the renovation had already been done. Our team, together with the client, had to understand what we would like to use in the project, what we would like to improve, and what we would like to remove.
After discussions, we realized that it was necessary to redevelop the apartments. The existing plan of the apartment was simple and clear, but enclosed – which means it did not provide an environment for communication between family members. We wanted to create a common space where parents and children could spend time together.
Therefore, to begin with, we combined the kitchen with the hall. Here, our team has done our best to ensure that the project meets state standards. The problem was that there was a gas stove in the kitchen. That is why there were many technical and legal difficulties when combining the hall and the kitchen. But our team worked hard, and we received approval. So, we got a large free space, full of light and air. Here, in the hall-kitchen, there is enough space for all family members and their guests.
However, we did not just change the previous project. We left the good ideas in the design. For example, a translucent stained-glass window on the ceiling really fit into our design project, because it added light.
To make the classic design warmer, we added color accents. You can see frescoes and drawings on the walls that make the interior more interesting and add personality. In a white kitchen, a quartz countertop became a color accent. Thus, the interior combines classics, loft, Scandinavian style and tropical motifs. Working on the task, we demonstrated the personality of the owner of the house in the interior, created a light and at the same time strict classic design that our client liked.
