Country house “Sunny Village”
At our interior design studio, every space has the potential to be elevated to new heights of comfort and style. Recently, we enjoyed working on a captivating project – redesigning a countryside home. What made this project particularly intriguing was the approach: rather than overhauling the entire design, we focused on enhancing and adapting specific areas better to suit the needs and desires of our clients.
The clients had already purchased the house, and while they were generally satisfied with the overall finish, they had concerns regarding the living room and terrace. These were the spaces where they spent most of their time, and thus, our task was to delicately transform these areas while maintaining harmony with the existing composition.
Our attention first turned to the terrace, which we envisioned integrating seamlessly with the surrounding nature. Using wooden decking, lush greenery, soft textiles, and warm lighting, we created a space harmonizing with the verdant landscape and garden. Understanding the family’s love for outdoor relaxation and entertaining guests, we divided the terrace into two distinct zones: a dining area and a relaxation zone, with comfortable seating and a fireplace.
The living room, initially barren and unwelcoming, underwent a significant transformation. We strategically divided the space, creating separate areas for lounging, entertainment, and work. We ensured a smooth transition between the relaxation area and the home office through subtle rearrangements, maintaining a cohesive design language. Employing warm tones, noble wood finishes, and a sense of visual lightness, we continued the aesthetic established on the terrace.
Responding to the client’s requests, we incorporated a bar into the design – a feature that became the focal point and pride of the family patriarch. Additionally, we introduced a functional partition in the living room design, providing the flexibility to convert the space into another separate room as needed quickly. We are delighted to report that our clients were thrilled with this solution and now thoroughly enjoy their revamped living room and terrace.
