Country house in Minsk
Designing the interior of this countryside home presented us with the exciting challenge of creating a serene yet engaging ambiance. Our young family client approached us early, just as the house had been built and preparations for electrical work were underway. This early involvement allowed us to meticulously plan every aspect of the design, offering the best solutions without the constraints of existing infrastructure or finishes.
The interior’s foundational palette revolves around light tones. Upon entering the ground floor, a bright hallway gradually transitions into an equally luminous kitchen-living area, which also houses a bedroom with an en suite shower and bathroom. Ascending the staircase leads us to the private zone: the master bedroom and the children’s room. The interior exudes a contemporary style, blending paint with wooden panels and boards. While maintaining monotony in the floor color, we diversified the space with various hues and tones on the walls.
The living room, for instance, boasts a bright ambiance with notable accents of black metal and stone. Concealing all appliances within cabinets, we divided the living area into several zones to enhance usability. On the other hand, the kitchen was designed to be more practical and darker yet still retain an airy and bright feel. Adding more color, we incorporated shades of green into the ground-floor bathroom. Upstairs, we continued to play with colors, crafting a solemn, “masculine” atmosphere in the master’s study while infusing the children’s room with a sunny, vibrant palette.
The project included numerous technically intricate solutions, such as veneer panels with concealed doors or the unconventional staircase with integrated lighting. While these nuances added complexity to the project’s realization, they also imbued the interior with expressiveness and functionality. Ultimately, the result is a harmonious blend of modern elegance and tranquil comfort tailored to meet the needs and preferences of our clients.
