Christmas and New Year’s Eve is always something about a magical atmosphere. And you can create it yourself! All you need to do is add a few decorative elements.

How to decorate the house outside?

Let the festive atmosphere meet you right at the entrance to the housing. An easy way to achieve this is to add garlands. And you can hang it, for example, on the facade of a house, a gate or even trees. But choose special models for the street, they function perfectly in a humid environment, on a cool night or if there is sand in the air.

In the yard, install flowerpots with pine branches intertwined with bright ribbons. It would be nice to decide on the color scheme for the New Year 2023. It’s great if all the decor elements, from the rug at the threshold to the napkins on the table, match this palette. In fact, it is not as difficult as it seems at first glance: choose a combination of two classic colors, for example, red and gold, and add neutral white to the scheme. Simple and elegant!

The next step is the door. The classic solution is a New Year’s wreath with bells. By the way, the wreath should not be pine at all. New Year’s wreaths from dry branches and flowers, wine corks, balls of thread for knitting, scraps of fabric are now popular. No need to add other elements (tinsel and garlands) on the door: it will be inconvenient to open it. The only exception: you can decorate the door jamb with a New Year’s bow.

How to decorate the house inside?

So, the door opens, and you find yourself in the hallway. It certainly requires decoration, but here interior experts advise being more restrained. A New Year’s wall panel or a small vase with coniferous branches and berries will be enough. A good idea is also a poster where your guests will write wishes for Christmas and New Year.

The party starts in the lounge area, so let’s pay attention to this room. Here again, let’s remember the color scheme you have chosen. Let’s decorate the lounge in these colors! You will need compositions of fir branches or arborvitae, colored ribbons, candles. Take a few small bells and hang this over the fireplace, the garlands will look great there too.

To decorate the ceiling, you can use an LED strip light, or luminous stickers. A good idea is to hang balls or stars from the ceiling on gold threads or transparent ribbons. And, of course, don’t forget the candles and the Christmas star. Your party will be unforgettable!
