Bath vs Shower
Everyone makes this choice when renovating a house: install a bathtub or a shower cabin? There are a lot of factors to take into account. The rhythm of life, how many family members there are, bathroom area, temperament at last. There are pros and cons to each option – let’s figure it out together.

Foam, salts, candles… Slowly flowing, pleasant time alone. And also a giant bowl that takes up half the bathroom. What will outweigh: the pros or cons?
Bathtub and children
Kids definitely wouldn’t trade a bath for anything. This is an amazing little pool and even a little bit of the sea. How many interesting toys for the bath are there: for example, foam, from which children can sculpt. And newborns are so nice to bathe here. And it is very useful for strengthening the muscular corset and the nervous system of babies.
Bath and storage
An important advantage of the bath is that there will be no problems with the vision of bath foam or soap. Shelves and an organizer for bath accessories will take up the entire shower stall, and there is not much space in it anyway. And storage outside of it means that at the right time things will not be there. But in the bath, salt, scrub, and foam are always at hand.
Bath and health benefits
Here you can arrange a recreation area. Add useful and fragrant herbs, sea salt, and essential oils. Lie down with your eyes closed, with a mask on your face. Or read a book. Good for mental and physical health.
But there are also disadvantages of the bath:
- takes up a lot of space;
- taking a bath requires more water than taking a shower;
- it is difficult for the elderly and people with limited mobility to get in and out of the bath.
Decide for yourself what is more important for you: free space or relaxation.

A shower is a more comfortable, more modern solution for a dynamic life. Technical capabilities allow you to turn a shower cabin even into a sauna. It can be said for sure that the shower is gaining more and more popularity in the world. But have you ever heard of a shower with candles? Foamy soul? You won’t even lie down here.
Shower and speed
Washing in the shower is faster. You just need to go in, turn on the water – that’s it. No need to wait for the tub to fill up. You don’t have to waste half an hour. The shower is the choice of people for whom time is money.
Shower and modern technology
Modern shower cabins look like a spaceship that is about to take off. By pressing the buttons, you can control the pressure and temperature of the water. There are even waterproof speakers for those who like to sing in the morning. And smart sensors will dispense liquid soap when you just bring your hand to the dispenser.
Shower and your parents
If children need a bath, then older family members will prefer a shower. It’s easy to enter. Inside the shower cabin, you can install a bench on which it will be convenient to sit down. You will not feel sick when you get up, as in a bath. And if you install a mat that does not slip, the likelihood of injury is minimized.
But remember about the disadvantages of the shower:
- shower cabins are more expensive than bathtubs;
- low water pressure will greatly complicate the washing process;
- if you are very tired, you will miss the opportunity to lie down and relax.
As you can see, there are benefits and problems everywhere. Just decide which option is your priority.
