Coffee House “Varka” in Minsk

To begin with, it is important to say that we have been working with the Varka coffee shops for many years. We are proud that our clients trust us and want us to create design projects for new and new cafés. This Varka coffee shop on Pobediteley Avenue is the fourth in a series of our projects. Here, we tried to embody and emphasize all the best that Varka is known for in Minsk.

Varka on Pobediteley Avenue

In this project, we focused on the Varka style that had already been developed and approved before. The main features of the café were coziness, comfort, and a sense of peace. It was necessary to make it felt in every design element. But beyond that, the coffee shop on Pobediteley Avenue needed to add some uniqueness. We wanted this coffee shop to be recognizable, different from other cafés of the chain, to have its own character… but at the same time, its style should correspond to the general concept of Varka.

We started by dividing the space of 60 square meters into two zones:

  1. Bar. A barista works here, and important kitchen appliances are also located here.
  2. Places for guests. There should be enough space for visitors. It is important that it is convenient for everyone to move around the coffee shop, sit at tables, and communicate.

In the bar area, it was necessary to install all kitchen appliances, leaving enough space for the barista. We have ensured that all employees feel comfortable performing their tasks here. At the same time, of course, we have not forgotten about aesthetics.

In the visitor area, we started with an accent table. This is the largest table where many guests could sit. After we found a good location for the accent table, we began to place smaller tables in our visualization: for two and for three persons.

Once the layout was approved, we turned our attention to colors and materials. Varka coffee shop on Pobediteley Avenue is a story about muted and soft shades: black, gray, and copper. Here, we have created a cozy ‘evening’ atmosphere that catches the eye immediately. The panoramic windows were especially important for us: thanks to their features, we could distribute this feeling of warm comfort through the windows. We know for sure that this idea worked because from the first day of opening until now, the Varka coffee house has had a lot of happy visitors.
