Ratomskaya Apartment
Working on this project was both enjoyable and exciting for us. Because a young family asked us to design their first apartment. The living space had to be cozy, comfortable, as if speaking without words about warmth and love. And we happily took on this project.
The apartment was located in an elite residential complex and had a free layout. The apartment was shaped like a square. On 118 sq.m. we had to create a separate space for parents, for a child, as well as a common space for family members to spend time together. Each member of the family had to have enough personal space. At the same time, it was important to make a comfortable guest area, because the family had many friends, which means that there were many visitors in the apartment. The task seemed simple, but zoning was difficult due to the large number of windows.
After discussion and exchange of opinions, we divided the apartment into several zones. We got six parts.
- A small bright hall with mirrors and moldings. The hall is exactly the place in the house, thanks to which the incoming guests get the first impression of the apartment. We made the hall spacious, but not gigantic, light and comfortable.
- We also received two spacious rooms: one for parents, the other for a child. In both rooms we have provided wardrobes, and in the parents’ room there are two wardrobes: for a gentleman and for a lady.
- A kitchen. As we learned, the lady loved to cook. This means that we could not help but provide a spacious cooking area where the lady could enjoy her hobby.
- A lounge area with a large sofa and a dining room. Of course, in such apartments there must be a place where all family members could enjoy the culinary masterpieces of the lady. Therefore, we have provided a dining area, connecting it with a place for an after-dinner relax.
- A TV area with a fireplace. In this location, we have provided everything you need for family holidays and spending time with guests.
- We also took one of the bathrooms as a utility room and a bath, and in the second we placed a shower and a toilet.
So we got a beautiful and cozy apartment, where each family member has his own personal space, and there are cozy areas for spending time together. The apartment is dominated by light, but not cold colors, which create a comfortable and calm atmosphere. This is really the place where all family members want to return after a hard day.
